Membership in the National Coalition of Estheticians Association (NCEA) has many benefits, but our primary mission is to help you PROTECT YOUR CAREER and EARNINGS POTENTIAL. We do that by raising standards with the National Esthetician Certification–NCEA Certified credential, and continuing education through the Commission on Accreditation.

The NCEA continues to educate state regulatory boards and legislators (and other professionals). They need to know that the NCEA Certified credential’s competency-based exam evaluates the Esthetician’s skills and knowledge at a 1200-hour level. NCEA created this affordable pathway for endorsement and/or reciprocity, (exchanging your license) so you can move to another state with higher hours and get a license and/or Advanced or Master Esthetician License.

We need to show legislators that this is the licensing level we want to be in order to change our future!

Joining the NCEA and becoming a Member made perfect sense after the hard work and hundreds of hours I’ve put into my career. Then getting my National Esthetician Certification separates me from other licensed professionals. It has taken my career to a new level and increased my earnings potential dramatically. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join the association and also get NCEA Certified.

We help our members stay informed of important changes in the industry and offer CONTINUING EDUCATION and NATIONAL CERTIFICATION that will increase your earnings potential and set the standard for our profession. Membership in the NCEA Association is an INVESTMENT in your career and your future!

  • Protect Your Career
  • Protect Your Salary & Earnings Potential
  • Stay Informed
  • Raise Industry Standards
  • Earn More by attaining the National Esthetician CertificationRaising the standards of our profession and industry is critically important to the long-term success of our members. We work with the public and it’s important that consumers trust their providers of skin care services.

The majority of states still only require about 600-hours (or less)of schooling in order to get a license. We now have over a dozen states that require more hours. (a good thing!) An Esthetician moving from a 600-hour license may be required to go back to school, even with years of work experience. (a bad thing!) We are losing Estheticians from this profession due to these roadblocks!

By ensuring the Esthetician’s competency through the NCEA Certified credential, a state regulatory board can meet their mission of protecting the consumer and keep Estheticians working in the profession they love.

Becoming a member of the National Coalition of Estheticians Association is the first step to help support and protect our profession!
